Indoor Air Quality Information Page
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has become an important issue in both the home environment and in the business/workplace environment. EPA has recognized that most people spend a substantial amount of their time indoors and are exposed to a variety of chemicals that can have substantial short and long term health effects. Environmental Analytical Service, Inc. (EAS) has been involved in Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) measurements since 1985, and has provided services for both the homeowner/ business owner as well as the IAQ professional.
LEED Program
The LEED Program was created by the U.S. Green Building Council to encourage the construction of Green buildings. The LEED program offers a certification for buildings that meet certain standards. One of these standards is the levels of volatile organic compounds (VOC's) present in the building. EAS provides the analytical services to measure he recommended VOC compounds for this program. The VOC's include Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), 4-PCH (from carpets), and Formaldehyde. Information on LEED
