SOIL GAS ANALYSIS SERVICES
EAS has provided soil gas analytical services since 1985, and set up one of the first mobile soil gas analysis vans for on-site measurements. Over the years there have been several protocols for measuring the soil gas and soil vapor concentrations of volatile organic compounds, and EAS has samplers that cover all of these protocols. Currently we supply the California DTSC style sampler which uses a 100 to 200 ml/min flow restrictor to sample into SUMMA canisters.
EAS has most size canisters, but recommends using the 3.2 liter canister which is easy to use in the field and has enough volume to make low level measurements if needed and duplicate analysis. For projects where high levels of a few VOC's are anticipated, but low detection limits are needed EAS recommends its Combined EPA TO-15 Full Scan and TO-15 SIM, which gives the best of both methods - at a substantially reduced cost.
Analytical Methods - These methods are the preferred methods for soil gas and soil vapor analysis.
